Madonna 1 Blue Ink
30ml Copper Oxide blue created by letting the mixture sit and have oxygen play its part.
This blue can be used with brush or glass pencil. I keep just one brush for this ink. It is quite corrosive over time, and on that note should not be emptied into water ways either way. With all these inks, keep away from humans and pets.
But oh, it is oh so pretty! It will separate into two layer in the bottle, the top a bright clear transparent blue, the underside, an opaque milky blue. They can be used as seperates or, with a good shake, combined.
Madonna 1 will change and shift over time, but reacts so beautifully with other inks, lending weight and substance in a beguiling way. Using a good anti-UV fixative is the surest way of preserving any of these natural inks once they are laid down on paper.
